ascendant vierge grew out of Paul Seul’s remix of one of Mathilde Fernandez’s gothic operas: she sings in French, he builds the hard techno and trance under her. They file it under “pop postmoderne”, while Infoconcert went with “Mylène Farmer sous acide”. The albums are “Une nouvelle chance” (April 2023) and “Le plus grand spectacle de la Terre” (2024), and the duo has played the Zénith in Paris, Berghain and a Saint Laurent Live Session.
